Salsa No Ka Oi was featured in the ISLAND LIFE section of the Honolulu Advertiser on February 18, 2010. The article was an interview with Charlie and focused on Bachata as well as Salsa. It mentioned SNKO's recent trip to teach at the Dallas Bachata Festival.
Salsa No Ka Oi was recently featured for a segment on Hawaii News Now's Sunrise morning show. It's about news anchors Grace Lee and Dan Cooke learning the basics of Bachata dancing. It was filmed on January 18th, Martin Luther King Day. Here's the clip, take a look:
Salsa No Ka Oi is presenting a Bachata Bootcamp, with special guest instructor, Texas-based Jorge Elizondo. The sessions in learning the sexy Latin dance will take place at 3 and 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and 2 and 4 p.m. Nov. 1. The classes will take place at the Dream to Dance Studio at 661 Auahi St. The cost is $35 per class, with discounts available for multiple class purchases.

Charlie got interviewed by Midweek to do a movie review for Jack Black's recent film, "Be Kind Rewind". It's about some video store employees that accidentally erase a bunch of VHS tapes, so they try to re-film a lot of them in a short period of time, and with limited resources.
One of MidWeek's reporters came out and took a free salsa class that we held on August 12, 2007. She wrote an article about our group and the Hawaii salsa scene.
We got a mention in the Star Bulletin's "Da Kine" column because of the upcoming Hawaii Salsa Festival. They also wrote about a free introductory class that's coming up soon.
