Occupation: Letter Carrier
Dance background: I've been dancing salsa since 2000 and teaching since 2003. I also danced hula and other Polynesian dances for 3 years. I grew up in the 80's so I did a lot of breakdancing, too. I also dabbled with some ballroom.
How I discovered salsa: I was recovering from a basketball injury when my mom saw an ad for salsa classes and suggested I try it to learn about my Puerto Rican heritage. The first time I went to class, there were only 3 guys and 22 ladies. There weren't enough guys so we were in high demand. Needless to say, I was hooked.

How I discovered salsa: A girlfriend of mine who was visiting from Texas dragged me to a free class. I almost didn't participate because I arrived a little late but got drawn in because it looked like a lot of fun and the music was so intoxicating.

How I discovered salsa: I kept seeing a banner for salsa classes but could never make it on Sundays. I finally freed up one Sunday and went to the class, which happened to be Charlie's class. I took one lesson from him and fell in love - with SALSA.
