Dance Lessons - Class Schedule

Bachata classes are held on Thursday evenings at Dream to Dance Studio in Kaka'ako

• 8pm to 9pm - All Levels

 

Salsa classes are held on Sunday evenings at Dream to Dance Studio in Kaka'ako

• 6pm to 7pm - Level 1 - Beginners
• 6pm to 7pm - Level 2 - Intermediate
• 7pm to 8pm - Level 3 - Advanced / Combos
• 8pm to 10pm - Bachata/Salsa dance social (open to everyone, $5 admission) Meet Latin dance students and practice your Salsa and Bachata moves in a friendly studio setting.

We teach our group salsa lessons in 4 week sessions where each week builds on the lessons from the previous week. By the end of your 4 week session in Level 1, you should know the basic steps, right and left turns, outside turn, cross body lead, cross body lead inside turn and the check turn. By the time you finish Level 1, you should be able to go out on the dance floor at a social or nightclub.

In Level 2, we focus on intermediate positions such as Basket, Hammerlock and the Wrap. These are more complicated, so it's important to have a good foundation in the basics before starting to learn these moves.

Our Level 3 class focuses on teaching a different combination each week. This is the class where anything goes, and new concepts related to a rotating style of dance will be introduced here.

*We teach "On 1" style salsa, starting on the first beat of the measure.

Pricing

Class cards are valid for six months from the date of purchase. We accept cash or checks for the class cards, cash only for drop in visits. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at this time.
